Dr. Shmaya (Steven)Krinsky, PsyD

Dr. Shmaya Krinsky is a licensed psychologist and the founder of Anxiety and Behavioral Health Psychotherapy. He was trained at the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology and completed a predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Anxiety in New York. He has extensive clinical experience treating a wide range of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

He understands how anxiety can take control of a person's life and limit activities that are important and meaningful. His main goal in therapy is to teach his clients to become their own therapists, empowering them to better understand the psychological concepts that contribute to their anxiety. This allows clients to engage in treatment more effectively, develop tools and skills to overcome anxiety, and have sustained success post-treatment.

Dr. Krinsky's approach is solidly grounded in the principles of exposure therapy, which allows each person to learn to better understand their own anxieties and develop tools and skills to overcome them rather than just trying to avoid them. Clients find that, after successful treatment, they can live more fulfilling, broader lives and handle any new challenges that may arise more effectively

If you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stressed, don't hesitate to reach out for support. Dr. Krinsky offers a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine if he's the right therapist for you.
